I have made a couple of errors posting recently and have tried to edit within minutes of posting. I understand the 15 minute restriction but i have been denied editing within a minute of posting!
What is causing this?
On the same subject, if it is a post I have written and I want to remove or edit it, I only have 15 minutes to do so.
Why can this not be extended?

I can't think of a reason not to allow people to edit their own posts at all. There are some forums where there's no editing allowed, but I reckon it makes for nicer and more readable forums if people can alter mistakes anytime.
Few people seem to read their own posts though, IMHO.
there are a number of reasons why there is a limit on editing your own post. It prevents spam, it prevents posts being removed and from my personal point of view it helps me in know what has been posted on the forum.

Doesn't help with your command of the English language though does it seamatt.
Pity you can't go back and alter it. Now we will all know you posted under the influence so early in the morning.

Sometimes you screw up and look in the next day and regret something. It does happen!
