today you may have noticed the forum offline, this is because I moved host today. Fed up with the appalling service I received from 1and1 so both fingers up to them.
Hopefully you will notice a difference in the speed the page loads, it turns out this forum was sitting on a server with 116 other sites!!!
it does move faster now seamatt. and no click here if you wanna go quicker.
so far so good, at least you don't haved to click on a link and wait half hour till the page loads.
Still got lots to do to get the rest of the site working as it should
Excellent news seamatt. The forum is so much faster. I think you are a saint for putting up with 1and1 as long as you did. Thank you so much for moving to someone better. Now we can post without falling asleep while waiting for the page to load.

I would say this site is quite rapid now.

we kepted getting internet page could not be displayed and when i digged abit it said something like hosts down
I don't think the problem was with this site, it's been online all morning and yesterday, i've been here and have others
I have had the same problem as commonasmuck. I am sure internet was fine as I had other tabs open. If I retried a few times, it would open but it seemed to be 50/50 whether the page would be displayed or not. I only had the problem for the first 24 hours after you moved host. It seems to have sorted itself now.
