odd, can't seem to get the time right on forum, if I select 'GMT and auto detect DST' the time's one hour slow, if I select 'GMT+1 and auto detect DST' the time is one hour fast. Never used to have any trouble.
what you need to do is set it to GMT and auto detect DST, By setting it to GMT +1 you are adding the extra hour yourself as well as 1 hour for DST

thanks, that's what I was doing, but "GMT/auto det DST" gave - 1hr on actual time, "GMT+1/auto det" gave +1 on actual time, i.e. changing from GMT to GMT+1 moved the displayed time by 2hrs not just one hourand wouldn't set actual time correctly. Having said that after a couple of switch it off and on's since I wrote the original email the problem has gone away of its own accord and I now see the right time.
I appreciate that I haven't put the clock back on here yet, but..... for some unknown reason it isn't an hour "fast" as it should be - but is now 2 hours fast, and earlier was 2 hrs 30 minutes fast!! Hows that work out?
you should only ever be an hour out at worst, I've reset the board time to GMT (late I know but hey), if your time is still out you can correct it in you profile.

Thats what I thought, hence my confusion at the extra half hour. Now the boards reset, guess I better go set my profile one too

My PC clock says 10:48. I've checked with Google and it is 10:48 GMT . Yet the clock on here says 10:43 . Time to get new batteries Seamatt?
Hmmmm... it says I posted that at 10:45. I'm soooo confused

the time is taken from the server time, not under my control im afraid. I will email my hosting company and see if they will correct it
