I have a friend whose mum passed away recently. Whilst sorting out her mums house, my friend has come across absolutley yards and yards of lace and material. She has asked me to try and find somewhere to pass all of this onto. In particular something like and old peoples club where they make stuff for various charities, or a self-help group for the mentaly-handicapped/stroke victims etc.etc.

I was wondering if anyone knew of such a group? The main thing she wants is for it to be put to good use where it can help people, as opposed to someone having it to sell on.

Any ideas?

Viables Craft Centre have craft groups there.

I might be interested for our church. The ladies sew cloth drawstring bathroom bags from various material and fill them with donated toiletries and then donate them to places like the women's refuge and the hospital in case anyone arrives unexpectedly without a bathroom bag.
