My name is Angie and I will be coming to stay in Basingstoke next week for about 4 weeks with my husband Bob who is having a major operation.
I am looking for a running club near by that I can join while we are there. Could anyone give me information on any local clubs please.

There is a running club at Down Grange running track at 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for both track and road running.

Thank you very much for that, I have just rang the secretary and he was very helpful.
I think they are based in Winchester which he said was about 18 miles from Basingstoke but told me I would be very welcome.

Angie, I think maybe I was unclear. I was referring to a Basingstoke running club. I'll find full details and post them. It should not be necessary to go all the way to Winchester.

OK well this is really embarrassing but I can't find a website. However, I am really sure that there is a running club there so why not just turn up?
I know it would be good to phone in advance and check details so if anyone else knows details of their website, please could they post them as I don't have them.
Thanks for the link, that club looks nearer than Winchester but they look a serious running club and I am just a slow runner, so perhaps the Winchester club would be the better choice.
