I've just used the "ignore" facility for the first time, unfortunately the poster's thread still appears, just what they put in it is blanked. Any possibility of having a facility to not see threads "ignored" users create?

Do you mean you can blank out a particular individuals contribution to any thread or just ones they initiate. If its the former doesn't that leave the thread rather disjointed? Also does that stop any PM's from whoever you want to ignore too?
Non of my business ....but I wonder who anybody would want to block at the moment as the forum is so polite and non controversial. I don't like personal abuse but a bit of passion and fire wouldn't go amiss in some of the threads.

I believe the block feature extends to the PM system, I've never used it so not 100% sure. What it does is show a post or thread but the contents is blocked, to block the entire thread if started by someone on your "block" list would be a mamoth job though.
