Hantsweb awards
It is nomination time for the Hantsweb awards and I think it would be really nice to show our thanks to Seamatt for all he does by nominating this site in the special interest category.

Last year, eBasingstoke won and they were really quite rude to Seamatt about it instead of gracious. I really think that this forum is better. eBasingstoke is just not very lively.

It would be lovely to beat the competition and get a bit of recognition for all the hard work Seamatt puts in. If you want to nominate, the form is here:

It doesn't take a minute and you don't have to fill in loads of personal details and get junk mail. Go on, you know you want to. Wink Nominations close at midnight on 26th October so don't delay.

RE: Hantsweb awards
It wasn't ebasingstoke it was the Basingstoke Now website, so I think an apology to ebasingstoke is in order Della. You really should get your facts straight before you so publically slate another site.

Thanks for pointing this out Jane, you are right. I made a mistake and muddled the sites. My apologies to eBasingstoke; it was Basingstoke Now that I meant.

What a good idea - get voting guys. Just had a look at Basingstoke Now - never heard of it before - how did that win - looks like no activity on the site.
Just had a look at E Basingstoke as never heard of that either, and no postings on there for months. This is really the only forum for the town? Lets hope it goes from strength to strength.

I registered on Basingstoke Now before I found this site (well it's predecessor). It's no wonder there's no activity as it was plagued by a couple of trolls. O

RE: Hantsweb awards
All the forums in Basingstoke have had their share of trolls. Some have survived better than others. It is how it is dealt with that matters.
